Student of the Month

May 2019

Brandon Shafer was nominated by his step mom Beverly. He's a senior at Jefferson High School who recently won his school's Sportsmanship Award. Brandon is a member of the track team and captain of the lacrosse team. He works hard to get good grades and works after school to pay for his expenses. Brandon unexpectedly lost his dad a few months ago but has continued to do good things at school and for his family. After he graduates next month he will go to Brookdale Community College and hopes to become a police officer. Congratulations Brandon. We wish you all the best in the future.

Each month of the school year, TransOptions honors an exceptional student in Sussex County by awarding the "TransOptions Student of the Month Award." The award is given to students recognized for their scholastic achievements or community involvement and is presented live, on-air, during the "Morning Show with Steve Andrews", on WSUS 102.3.

Award recipients receive an Amazon.com gift card and a framed certificate of recognition. Their comments are recorded and replayed on-air throughout the month as a celebration of their achievement.
