Jackeline Leon, Community Outreach Coordinator

Jackie joined TransOptions in October 2015 after 8 years in the media industry as a New Jersey Press Association award-winning journalist and a photographer. Her interest in sustainability blossomed while promoting energy efficiency statewide as a field representative for the New Jersey Clean Energy Program in 2010.

As a Community Outreach Coordinator for TransOptions, Jackie works closely with various stakeholder groups, including seniors, people with disabilities, low income populations and veterans, on projects such as Coordinated Human Services Transportation. She is also responsible for website updates, crafting content for TransOptions' event emails, three newsletters: Go Smart!, Bike Right and Backroads as well as social media management of our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts and co-designs the annual report.

Jackie graduated from Lehigh University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and minors in both Anthropology and Japanese. She has a Social Marketing in Transportation Certificate from the Center for Urban Transportation Research at the University of South Florida and is in the current class of Leadership Morris through the Morris County Chamber of Commerce. Her professional experience includes writing, photography, social media, communications and public relations.
