TransOptions to host 3rd annual Bike to Work Challenge
This May, in celebration of National Bike Month, TransOptions, along with featured sponsor Cycle Craft of Parsippany, Long Valley and Andover is once again inviting employees to beat their boring commute and try biking to work instead!
The Bike to Work Challenge is a free, friendly competition where everyone from veteran commuters to novice riders can get together to compete for prizes in multiple categories including our featured Champion Challenger raffle prize:
$1,000 Shopping Spree to Cycle Craft of Parsippany
Think your commute is too far, too hard or too overwhelming to bike? No problem! The best part about the Challenge is that the top prizes are raffled off based on the amount of bike commutes you take, regardless of the distance! So drive the hardest half of your commute and park in a park and ride, put your bike on a bus, ride the train or carpool with a friend for your trip home. As long as you include riding a bike at some point in your trip it counts!
How it works:
Step 1 -- Participants create an online profile by registering at www.TransOptions.org/BiketoWorkChallenge
Step 2 -- Participants begin riding all or part of the way to work
Step 3 -- Starting May 1st, participants log in and enter their miles traveled to and/or from work
Challengers can also increase their chances of winning a prize by competing for the Bike Team prize. Simply invite up to 4 other friends or coworkers to join you by choosing to create a team during registration and your trips will be automatically added together!
