TransOptions is proud to announce its nomination of Pam Fischer, of Pam Fischer Consulting, for the National Safety Council’s Teen Driving Safety Leadership Award. Our colleague and friend, Pam has been working to prevent motor vehicle crashes, injuries and fatalities on New Jersey roadways for the past 25 years.
In her most recent role as leader of the New Jersey Safe Teen Driving Coalition, Pam continues to work tirelessly championing the Graduated Driver License (GDL) and educating parents and teens regarding safe driving throughout the State. Her goal is to reduce the number of teen crashes in New Jersey to ZERO crashes per year as she has stated numerous times, "zero is the only acceptable number."
Pam is driven in a way that makes things happen. She does not give up in the face of rejection. If anything, it makes her work harder. She cares deeply about the work she is doing and in her words "I do this because I have to--I don’t want to meet any more parents who have buried their teens. It just has to stop."
Pam is kind and considerate, but fierce in her convictions. She motivates those around her, and it is her passion and influence that drives others to want to do the same. Pam deserves to be recognized because everything she does is NOT done for the recognition or the pat on the back, it's done because she HAS to do it.
The National Safety Council Teen Driving Safety Leadership Award recognizes individuals and/or organizations that have made exceptional contributions in teen driving safety. The winner will be selected by a panel of judges by September 1, 2012. The winner will receive national recognition.
