Jackeline Leon, Community Outreach Coordinator

Jackie joined TransOptions in October 2015 after 8 years in the media industry as a New Jersey Press Association award-winning journalist and a photographer. Her interest in sustainability blossomed while promoting energy efficiency statewide as a field representative for the New Jersey Clean Energy Program in 2010.

As a Community Outreach Coordinator for TransOptions, Jackie works closely with various stakeholder groups, including seniors, people with disabilities, low income populations and veterans, on projects such as the development of a Coordinated Human Services Transportation Plan and the Street Smart NJ pedestrian safety campaign. She is also responsible for crafting content for TransOptions' three newsletters: Go Smart!, Bike Right and Backroads as well as social media management of our Facebook, Twitter and Instagram accounts.

Jackie graduated from Lehigh University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts in International Relations and minors in both Anthropology and Japanese. Her professional experience includes writing, photography, social media, communications and public relations.
