Daniel Callas, Managing Director

Dan joined TransOptions in April 2011 and leads the staff in multiple areas including the implementation of community safety programs, environmental education, Safe Routes to School efforts and work with businesses and developers. He has spearheaded the adoption of new technologies and advancement of TransOptions' TDM programs through tools such as their GoForGood portal (GoForGood.TransOptions.org), which "gamifies" the alternative commute, allowing users to log their bike, walk and/or carpool trips to win prizes. Anne Adier-Vivino, Business Services

Anne "Annie" began her non-profit career at Morris 2000 (Morris Tomorrow) in 1990 and considers the seven years she spent there an invaluable experience that has served her throughout her career.  After many years in the corporate sector, Annie decided to return to her non-profit roots, joining the staff of TransOptions in 2010. Annie's overall experience includes a background in human resources, including staffing management, training and development, project management and event planning.

Judy Bortman, Marketing Specialist

Judy has been a part of TransOptions since 2007. She brings over 25 years experience in multiple areas including marketing, writing, project development and communications. Her skills were honed during years on the west coast as a Marketing Manager at Silicon Valley hi-tech firms, teaching adult education classes and running her own consulting firm for seniors in transition.

Her education background includes a B.S. in Education from Lesley College, an Associate Degree in Design from Canada College and Non-Profit Certification from San Jose State University.

Emily Casey, Program Specialist

Emily joined the TranOptions’ team in August 2016. As a Program Specialist, Emily spends most of her time engaging with K-12 students. She helps facilitate both environmental education and bike/pedestrian safety programs in schools within our service region. This includes our popular Traffic Safety Town lesson and Junior Solar Sprints competition. During weekends in the Spring and Fall, you will most likely find Emily coaching our Bike Right® Learn to Ride classes for children and adults.

Laura Cerutti, Project Manager

Laura joined TransOptions in January 2013 after working in customer service. As a Project Manager at TransOptions, Laura oversees the Street Smart pedestrian safety campaign that uses high-visibility enforcement, education, and grassroots public awareness to address pedestrian safety issues. The campaign has been launched successfully in Newton, Washington (Warren County) and Morristown. She also manages TransOptions' vanpool program, featuring more than 500 commuters in over 80 vanpools, and is responsible for registering and maintaining those commuters in NJTran...

Justin Jenkins, Program Specialist

Justin joined TransOptions in March 2016 with a background in travel planning and customer service.  As a Program Specialist, Justin conducts bicycle and pedestrian safety/infrastructure audits, which include data collection, mapping, reports, and recommendations. He also assists with TransOptions’ Speed Sentry program, often in relation to ongoing efforts such as audits, Street Smart, and Safe Routes to School programming. Christopher Koscica, Project Specialist

Chris joined TransOptions in August 2016 with a background in community outreach and sustainability. Chris assists with the Street Smart NJ pedestrian safety campaign, which aims to change driver and pedestrian behavior. He focuses on community outreach, and works closely with businesses, police officers, and community leaders to educate the public on Street Smart, safe walking and driving, and on driver/pedestrian safety laws. Jackeline Leon, Community Outreach Coordinator

Jackie joined TransOptions in October 2015 after 8 years in the media industry as a journalist and a photographer. Her interest in sustainability blossomed while promoting energy efficiency statewide as a field representative for the New Jersey Clean Energy Program in 2010.

Jessica Lubas, Safe Routes to School Coordinator

Jess joined TransOptions in February 2016. She facilitates pedestrian and bicycle education programs for children and adults. This includes Traffic Safety Town, an immersive, role-playing exercise that helps 3rd to 5th grade students develop safe pedestrian practices. This free program is integrated into elementary schools’ curriculums across TransOptions’ service area. Judy Maltese, Data Management Specialist

After graduating school, Judy's first job was with Public Service Bus Company, which is now NJ Transit.  Her later professional experience was focused on customer service and retail management. Destined to work on transportation related issues, she came to TransOptions in 2001.  She has since become an expert in providing customers with transit information.  Her duties have also included planning shuttle routes, mapping, and database management for all TransOptions' services.

Danielle Scassera, Business Manager

Danielle joined TransOptions in 2010 after working in sales and customer service. As the Business Manager for TransOptions, Danielle’s responsibilities include the financial aspects of TransOptions' grants. Additionally, she is in charge of HR and accounting for TransOptions. She is the interface with all outside professional services including legal, accounting and auditing as well as maintaining all vendor operations.

Kristen Tomasicchio, Environmental Education Coordinator

Kristen joined TransOptions in July 2014. She creates educational programs to deliver to schools in our service area for grades K-12. The programs are focused on energy, air quality, and sustainability. These free programs have been mapped to the Next Generation Science Standards as well as the NJ Core Curriculum Content Standards. Kristen also works with teachers involved in Junior Solar Sprints and the Hydrogen Fuel Cell races. She creates lesson plans and extension activities for educators to prepare their students for the race day.
