Judy Bortman, Marketing Specialist

Judy has been a part of TransOptions since 2007. She brings over 25 years experience in multiple areas including marketing, writing, project development and communications. Her skills were honed during years on the west coast as a Marketing Manager at Silicon Valley hi-tech firms, teaching adult education classes and running her own consulting firm for seniors in transition.

Emily Casey, Bicycle Programs Coordinator

Since joining the TranOptions’ team in 2016, Emily has utilized her years of experience in education to develop and facilitate both environmental education and bike/pedestrian safety programs within our service region. As Bicycle Programs Coordinator, Emily oversees our Bike Right® program, which offers riders of all ages and skill levels free training courses on traffic safety, bicycle commuting and learning to ride. Laura Cerutti, Project Manager

Laura joined TransOptions in January 2013. As a Project Manager, Laura leads the Street Smart pedestrian safety campaign in TransOptions’ service area. Street Smart is a statewide effort that uses high-visibility enforcement, education, and grassroots outreach to change unsafe driving in walking behaviors. Melissa Estock, Communications Coordinator

Melissa joined TransOptions in May 2017 after 7 years in the media industry as an award winning multi-media journalist, anchor and host.  Her interest in TransOptions grew while helping promote its mission through stories she produced for a nightly televised news broadcast.

Justin Jenkins, Program Specialist

Justin joined TransOptions in March 2016 with a background in travel planning and customer service. As Program Specialist, Justin conducts road safety audits, which include data collection, mapping, reports, and recommendations. He also assists with TransOptions’ Speed Sentry program, often in relation to ongoing efforts such as audits, Street Smart, and Safe Routes to School programming. Denis Kelleher Sr., Program Specialist

Denis joined TransOptions in May of 2018 as a Program Specialist. He coordinates and delivers Pedestrian and Driver Safety programs for teens, parents, senior citizens and other groups in the community. Denis also works on the Street Smart pedestrian safety campaigns with other members of the TransOptions team and represents TransOptions on the NJ Teen Safe Driving Coalition.

Jackie joined TransOptions in October 2015 after 8 years in the media industry as a New Jersey Press Association award-winning journalist and a photographer. Her interest in sustainability blossomed while promoting energy efficiency statewide as a field representative for the New Jersey Clean Energy Program in 2010.

Lisa Leone, Safe Routes to School Coordinator

Lisa joined TransOptions in October 2017. As a Safe Routes to School Coordinator, Lisa spends most of her time working with schools on the completion of their School Travel Plans, as well as facilitating environmental education and bike and pedestrian safety programs in schools within our service region. Additionally, Lisa is tasked with conducting road safety audits and safety assessments.

Judy Maltese, Data Management Specialist

After graduating school, Judy's first job was with Public Service Bus Company, which is now NJ Transit.  Her later professional experience was focused on customer service and retail management. Destined to work on transportation related issues, she came to TransOptions in 2001.  She has since become an expert in providing customers with transit information.  Her duties have also included planning shuttle routes, mapping, and database management for all TransOptions' services.

Melissa joined TransOptions in 2018 in continuation of her professional commitment to the non-profit sector. Her previous work experience includes a broad array of programmatic, financial, and operational leadership. At TransOptions, Melissa helps facilitate educational outreach programs on sustainable alternative energy and air quality. Danielle Scassera, Business Manager

Danielle joined TransOptions in 2010 after working in sales and customer service. As the Business Manager for TransOptions, Danielle’s responsibilities include the financial aspects of TransOptions' grants. Additionally, she is in charge of HR and accounting for TransOptions. She is the interface with all outside professional services including legal, accounting and auditing as well as maintaining all vendor operations.

Kristen Tomasicchio, Environmental Education Manager

Kristen joined TransOptions in July 2014. She creates educational programs to deliver to schools in our service area for grades K-12. The programs are focused on energy, air quality, and sustainability. These free programs have been mapped to the Next Generation Science Standards as well as the NJ Core Curriculum Content Standards. Kristen also works with teachers involved in Junior Solar Sprints and the Hydrogen Fuel Cell races. She creates lesson plans and extension activities for educators to prepare their students for the race day.

Anne Vivino, Business Services Coordinator

Anne "Annie" began her non-profit career at Morris 2000 (Morris Tomorrow) in 1990 and considers the seven years she spent there an invaluable experience that has served her throughout her career. After many years in the corporate sector, Annie decided to return to her non-profit roots, joining the staff of TransOptions in 2010.
